100 years of Bauhaus in the city of modernism
Opening of an art exhibition by pupils from the State School for the Blind and Visually Impaired
On Wednesday 26 June at 1 pm, the State School for the Blind and Visually Impaired, together with the Chemnitz Adult Education Centre, invites you to the opening of the exhibition "100 Years of Bauhaus in the City of Modernism" in the vhs-galerie, TIETZ, 4th floor.
This school year, the art/history specialisation course at the Landesschule, specifically the pupils in Years 7 to 9, have been looking for traces of the city of modernism in Chemnitz and have been examining the Bauhaus itself and the architecture inspired by it. The results - photos, drawings, ceramics and models - will be presented in a small art exhibition at the adult education centre, just in time for the 100th anniversary of the Bauhaus.
All interested parties are cordially invited to the exhibition opening. Admission to the opening and exhibition, which can be seen until 19 July 2019 during the usual opening hours of the adult education centre, is free of charge.
