"100 Chemnitz Makers" exhibition moves to the Chemnitz Technology Centre
It almost goes without saying that the Technologie Centrum Chemnitz is home to many movers and shakers. From today, the exhibition "100 Chemnitz Makers" can be seen there for six weeks and shows excerpts from 100 interviews that have been conducted with entrepreneurs, artists, sportspeople and volunteer citizens of the city since 2014.
Jens Weber, Managing Director of the TCC, knows the city's maker qualities and is delighted to be showing the exhibition in the building on Annaberger Straße: "Chemnitz likes to surprise. There are many interesting business ideas in the city and a large network of people who want to make a difference. That's why the exhibition fits very well in our building."
Many different business ideas and start-ups appear in the exhibition. The company founders of Intenta, Dr Heiko Cramer and Dr Basel Fardi, are among them. They moved into the TCC six years ago with their idea for intelligent sensors and driver assistance systems. They now employ more than 160 people and are internationally successful.
The exhibition, which was created as part of the city marketing campaign "The city is me" and is managed by the city's mayor's office, can be seen until 13 March 2017 during the Technology Centre's opening hours (Monday to Friday 8 am to 6 pm).
The maker magazine is also available there and at Chemnitz City Hall free of charge.
