Are you under 29 and have you always wanted to try mixing your favourite tracks together or see what it feels like to stand behind a DJ set-up? DJ Matthew will make that possible for you.

Open Day at the Wildgatter: Get to know the local wildlife through play
Venue: Oberrabenstein Wildlife Enclosure, Thomas-Müntzer-Höhe 13, Wing 3

At the Open Wildlife Enclosure School, children and young people can learn about local wildlife through play. With memory games, quizzes and puzzles, young and old alike can discover exciting facts about habitats, food and environmental protection.

Admission: Adults €4.50, concessions €3; there are no additional costs for the activity itself.

The film ‘Something Very Special’ takes the story of its 16-year-old protagonist seriously. It tells the story, in an everyday style, of an extended East German family in Greiz as they grapple with both inherited and new social issues.

For young people aged between 12 and 21 at a 2-for-1 promotional price, i.e. two young people pay the reduced admission price of 7 euros just once.

At the Chemnitz Youth Forum stand, visitors can showcase their favourite spots in the city, suggest new ideas for a more youth-friendly Chemnitz, or simply try their luck on our free wheel of fortune and win small prizes.
However, it shouldn’t stop at ideas alone: the Chemnitz Youth Forum supports young people in actually bringing their projects to life, whether through financial support, putting them in touch with the right contacts, or by jointly planning and implementing initiatives.

We kick off with ‘Machotaildrop’, an unreleased cult classic of skateboarding films. The film tells the story of Walter, who dreams of riding professionally for the world’s biggest skateboarding company, only to encounter the dark side of the skateboarding business. *Machotaildrop* takes us on a visually surreal and fantastical journey to an anachronistic setting, as if Wes Anderson had invented a fantasy world full of half-pipes and 180-flips. Quirky, bizarre and very offbeat.

Food and drink discounts: On the day, El Mina Bistro (Theaterstraße 38) is offering a 20 per cent discount on all wraps, and ui - cha Bubble Tea(Neumarkt 1) is offering young people a 50-cent discount on every drink. At the Turmbrauhaus , you can get Braumeister’s Fassbrause at half price. Hans im Glück is offering young people aged 13 to 17 two set menus for the price of one upon presentation of a student ID – the cheaper menu is free. The Delhi Palast (Zwickauer Straße 10) offers all young people aged 14 to 17 a free 0.3l non-alcoholic drink of their choice with their main course.
