Short description:
The non-profit organisation Spinnerei e.V. has been active since 2014 as a politically and denominationally independent initiator, project manager and partner of cultural and socio-cultural projects in Chemnitz and the region and promotes the common good in the long term through its ambitious activities. Through its work, the organisation aims to address social challenges and develop approaches to action and solutions with the help of artistic activities.
A major concern is to work in an interdisciplinary manner by specifically linking the areas of (visual) art, culture and society. The resulting synergy effects are intended to produce forward-looking models that will promote and sustainably strengthen the cultural region of Chemnitz.
The association consists of 15 active members who work full-time in all areas of artistic, cultural, commercial and social work and are characterised by practice-oriented action. The association is open to new interested parties and members, is happy to help people to help themselves and works together with partners towards a common goal.
