The Regionalverband Erzgebirge e. V. was entered in the register of associations in 1990.
The association develops the basis for the designation of protected areas, secures nature conservation areas and realises practical nature conservation measures to promote biotope and species diversity. The practical nature conservation work focuses on extensive maintenance and design measures, including the orchard meadow project. In and outside protected areas, biodiversity is promoted through the extensification of grassland utilisation, the conversion of arable land into grassland and the structuring of areas by planting hedges.
The RV offers various working groups for children and young people as well as young adults up to the age of 35.
