From the very beginning, Kraftwerk e.V. has seen itself as a supporter and promoter of socioculture in Chemnitz and Saxony. Its purpose is to guarantee and promote a wide range of socio-cultural programmes for all age groups and all social classes. These programmes are geared towards maximising the participation of the respective target group. The association contributes to the creation and maintenance of a child- and family-friendly environment. Kraftwerk e.V. promotes youth and adult education, multicultural concerns and the ideas of equality, tolerance and international understanding. From the very beginning, the organisation has been active in accordance with the Child and Youth Welfare Act §§ 11, 13 and 14. At the same time, Kraftwerk e.V. offers the use of various rooms under the motto "We offer rooms and open spaces" for the people of Chemnitz.
