Short description:
"Kids-Support Chemnitz e. V." was founded on 20 June 2023. The twelve founding members are committed and wholeheartedly active in the social sector, some of them full-time. In their work contexts, they have often had to experience Financial bottlenecks at federal, state and municipal level and organisational constraints mean that tried-and-tested leisure or therapy connections are often dissolved too early and young people and their families are left overwhelmed. All too often, it is no longer possible to maintain conducive support contexts; the prevention of detrimental developments is made considerably more difficult.
The association is concerned about the tendencies in this regard at a political level, which envisage more and more savings and cutbacks, particularly in preventative sectors. To counteract this, the organisation needs financial resources. A network is to be established in which the organisations, facilities, therapeutic services and associations support each other and the best possible results can be achieved for the children and young people.
At the same time, environmental and animal welfare projects will be incorporated into the work. The young people are given the opportunity to actively engage with their world. They learn to help shape their environment in a positive way and experience themselves as self-effective, so that they realise: "We can shape the present and therefore the future."
