ESV 03 Chemnitz e.V. is a non-profit sports club with just under 250 members. In kindergarten and primary school projects, junior teams for athletes aged 3 to 19 and various adult teams, sport in all its forms is organised and carried out within a great community, from popular sport to competitive sport and from running groups for toddlers to the parents' ice hockey team.
At the centre of our concept are (young) people who strive for sporting excellence, success and recognition. In doing so, we take responsibility for supporting the development of young athletes and promoting them with special commitment.
The club has officially operated an ice hockey performance centre since 2007 and has been a state support centre for Saxony since 2011.
With the support of the City of Chemnitz, the Chemnitz/Dresden Olympic Training Centre, the Saxon State Sports Association, the Ministry of Culture and the Saxon Ice Sports Association, selected athletes are given the opportunity to study at the sports high school and sports grammar school with boarding facilities that promote competitive sport and to devote themselves intensively to competitive sport.
Including projects with day-care centres and primary schools as well as ice hockey-specific training caps, the ESV currently supports almost 400 children and young people aged between 3 and 19 from Germany and abroad, almost 50 of whom are involved in competitive sport.

The club employs 3 full-time coaches, 7 licensed coaches on a freelance or voluntary basis, interns and 10 voluntary, partly licensed trainers.
Offers:
- Junior ice hockey - recreational and competitive sport from the age of 4 for boys and girls
- Playing for juniors from U7 to U20
- Ice skating groups for children aged 4 to 11
- Day-care centre and primary school projects for ice skating and inline skating
- Hobby teams for adults - beginners to advanced skaters
- First men's team plays in the Ice Hockey Regionalliga Ost
