How we deal with food is purely a matter of attitude.
Direkt vom Beet e. V. brings gardeners and city dwellers together to utilise existing food resources. Regionally sustainable produce from the garden is more nutritious, tastier, has short transport distances, no plastic packaging, is usually organic and untreated - and often free of charge. Fruit from the neighbour!
The aim of the association is to actually consume the fruit and vegetables that grow in the gardens.
Every garden owner is happy about a rich harvest. Often this cannot be consumed on its own. Anything left in the garden is either given to friends or acquaintances - or it ends up on the compost heap.
The customers are nutrition-conscious city dwellers who know exactly what value fruit and vegetables from the garden have.
