Stadtmission Chemnitz e. V. has been providing help since 1869 and has always focussed on the needs of the people of Chemnitz. Within the 150 years of the organisation's history, a large diaconal field of activity has developed that has become an integral part of the city of Chemnitz as well as the diaconal landscape in Saxony.
Every year, 1,500 people at the City Mission and its subsidiary take care of around 14,000 clients in a wide range of different areas of work. These range from care and services for people with disabilities to a wide variety of social work.
