The bandbüro chemnitz e.V. was founded on 13 December 2011 in Chemnitz and its main objective is to support the Chemnitz music scene. Through its work, it aims to strengthen the interests of musicians, bands in the scene and the associated industry and give them a voice. In addition to its function as a contact and service provider for musicians and bands, the association also runs the Musikkombinat - the first start-up centre for bands in eastern Germany, where over 80 bands, musicians, artists and creative businesses have now found a place to realise their projects. The association aims to contribute to the further professionalisation and international exchange of musicians by offering workshops, advice and various series of events.
