The social report of the Office for Youth and Family Affairs presents the main services and statistical data in the area of child and youth welfare. The report was prepared on the basis of the "Annual Statistical Report" of the Office for Youth and Family Affairs and will now be continued in a new version every two years.
The decisive legal basis for the provision of services by the Office for Youth and Family Affairs is the Social Code VIII - Child and Youth Welfare Act. With Article 1 of the Act to Improve the Accommodation, Care and Support of Foreign Children and Adolescents, numerous new regulations in Social Code VIII came into force on 1 November 2015.
The law affects all areas of the Office for Youth and Family Affairs. Last year in particular, the office was faced with new challenges in the accommodation and care of unaccompanied minors. This report contains key information and data on selected service areas of the Office for Youth and Family Affairs. Further details, in particular qualitative developments, are discussed in more detail in the individual youth welfare plans.
Following a quantitative analysis of past developments, the focal points for the future period are also outlined.
