In May 2004, the city council adopted the cultural development plan for the city of Chemnitz until 2012. An interim report was published in 2007.
This "Cultural Report of the City of Chemnitz 2012" presents the results of the objectives formulated in the cultural development plan, provides information on the City of Chemnitz's commitment in the cultural sector and documents both the city's cultural funding as a whole and the funding of measures by third parties. The report also contains a review of measures and projects that have taken place in all fields of activity of the cultural administration.
