Clausstraße from Uferstraße to Charlottenstraße

In Clausstraße from Uferstraße to Charlottenstraße, the sewerage system including the connecting sewers is being renovated. At the same time, eins energie in sachsen GmbH und Co KG (eins) is carrying out work on the district heating, electricity and drinking water pipes. Once the civil engineering work has been completed, the road will be renewed by the City of Chemnitz's traffic and civil engineering department. The project is scheduled to be completed by the beginning of December 2027.

For the construction work, Clausstraße will be fully closed to vehicle traffic in the first construction section from Uferstraße to Bernhardstraße and in the second construction section from Bernhardstraße to Charlottenstraße. Access to the neighbouring properties will be restricted. The ESC, the Transport and Civil Engineering Office and eins are investing a total of around 2.5 million euros. ATS Chemnitz Asphalt-, Tief- und Straßenbau GmbH is carrying out the work.

Chopinstraße from Neefestraße to Kleiststraße

In Chopinstraße between Neefestraße up to and including the Kleiststraße junction, around 420 metres of sewer and house connection pipes are being renovated or newly laid and the road drainage is being repaired. The work should be completed by the end of October. For the construction work, Chopinstraße between Neefestraße and Kleiststraße will be fully closed to vehicle traffic in sections. Access to neighbouring properties will be restricted.

A temporary crossing from and to Neefestraße will be set up for residents during the full closure, as access via Deulichstraße, Horststraße and Kleiststraße will not be possible in some cases. Access for the emergency services will be made possible by the provision of temporary roadworks. The ESC and the Transport and Civil Engineering Department are investing around 820,000 euros together. Dietmar Mothes GmbH from Chemnitz is carrying out the work.

Philippstraße from Hainstraße to Reinhardtstraße

The sewerage system, including the connecting sewers, is being renovated in Philippstraße and partly in Hainstraße. At the same time, eins is installing new district heating pipes including the connection pipes in the area between Hainstrasse and Sophienstrasse and laying cables for the medium voltage line. The work should be completed by the end of August.

For the construction work, Philippstrasse will have to be fully closed in sections from Hainstrasse to Reinhardtstrasse. Access to the properties is only possible to a limited extent, but they can be reached on foot at any time. Together, the ESC and eins are investing around 663,000 euros. ATS Chemnitz Asphalt-, Tief- und Straßenbau GmbH is carrying out the work. Pedestrians will be guided safely past the construction site at all times during all three construction measures.
