The Chemnitz Welcome Centre is turning two

Since 18 June 2024, the Chemnitz Welcome Centre has been supporting skilled workers, returnees, graduates and new residents from both Germany and abroad as they settle in, live and work in Chemnitz. As a central point of contact and advice centre, it also helps to secure a skilled workforce for businesses in the region.

Over the past two years, around 800 consultations have been carried out and some 140 networking and information events have been organised or supported. These also include specialised services for international professionals, such as information sessions for Ukrainian nationals on residence law issues.

The positive feedback highlights the importance of these services. Those seeking advice praise the “highly professional” and “extremely competent” support.
