Rabenstein Innovation Campus: Second information session
The event, entitled ‘Options and Approaches for the Rabenstein Innovation Campus’, will take place in the assembly hall of the ‘Hans Carl von Carlowitz’ Primary School in Rabenstein, at Trützschlerstraße 10. It is primarily aimed at residents of the Rabenstein district, and in particular those living directly adjacent to the planned site.
Places are limited due to the size of the venue. To take part, you must register via the Free State of Saxony’s participation portal.
Depending on availability, a confirmation of attendance together with a ticket will be sent out; this must be presented at the entrance (either digitally or as a printout).
Following the launch of the information and dialogue series on 2 July, this second event will focus on the active participation of local residents. The numerous comments, questions and suggestions raised at the first event will be addressed and explored in greater depth at various themed discussion tables. Together, participants will discuss options and possible solutions for the next stages of planning. A particular aim is to incorporate residents’ perspectives and local knowledge at an early stage. The outcomes of the event will be used to further develop the local development plan.
With the ‘Rabenstein Innovation Campus’, the City of Chemnitz aims to develop a strategically important site in a sustainable and forward-looking manner. The plan is to create a high-quality development that offers attractive conditions for businesses, strengthens regional value creation and can generate jobs through the targeted establishment of technology companies.
In April last year, Chemnitz City Council approved the amendment to the development plan for the ‘Rabenstein Innovation Campus’ and commissioned the City of Chemnitz to redesign the area. The City of Chemnitz is working with a commissioned planning consultancy on the reorientation of the site and is committed to an open dialogue with the public as planning progresses.
