Initial assessment

In addition to school enrolment, all future schoolchildren must undergo a school entry medical examination at the Office for Health and Prevention. This examination is compulsory. As the Office for Health and Prevention is currently undergoing refurbishment, the Paediatric and Adolescent Health Service is located at Bahnhofstraße 5.

Appointments for the school entry medical examination must be booked online. Online booking is now open. The first school entry medical examinations will begin on 10 August.

The school entry medical examination assesses the child’s stage of development. Children who were deferred last year must attend this examination again.
