"Healthy in the park" - get to know local offers
On Friday, 12 June, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., the city of Chemnitz invites you to the "Healthy in the Park" day of action in the Park of the Victims of Fascism. The event offers a wide range of opportunities to find out about local health programmes and get active yourself.</p
<p>The morning programme from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. is primarily aimed at registered nursery and primary school groups. (Registration for facilities has already been completed.)
In the afternoon, from 2 to 5 pm, all interested parties are welcome to take advantage of the programme, get into conversation with each other and experience the park as a place to meet, exercise and promote health.
<p>The day of action is organised by the Chemnitz-Mitte Citizens' Platform and the City Centre District Management in cooperation with the City of Chemnitz Office for Health and Prevention. The day of action is part of the "Health in the Neighbourhood" funding programme. The aim of the project is to bring health promotion directly into the neighbourhoods, to network regional players and to make low-threshold offers for different target groups visible. At the same time, public spaces are to be strengthened as places for encounters, exercise and prevention.</p
<p>A varied hands-on programme has been prepared for the day of action together with various local institutions and partners. Visitors can look forward to an outdoor exercise and skills course, creative arts and crafts activities, healthy eating activities, small health and coordination tests and a smoothie bike, among other things.
The programme is complemented by numerous information and hands-on stands.
<p>Two themed walks will also be offered. ASB is organising an art walk through the park from the perspective of people with disabilities. Arbeit und Leben Sachsen e. V. is also inviting people to take part in a participatory walk on the topic of "Revitalised OdF Park". Prior registration is required for both walks.</p
