On 7 and 8 November 2026, Klaffenbach Water Castle will once again open its doors for the most delightful shopping experience of the year: In the unique atmosphere of this historic and romantic castle complex, selected craftspeople and designers will be showcasing their latest work at the 24th Werkkunstmarkt, inviting visitors to explore, marvel and shop.
This sales exhibition of arts and crafts and design offers visitors a diverse selection of handmade products to suit every taste and budget. From stylish fashion and unique accessories to ceramics and porcelain, right through to wooden objects and other creative designs. Many of the pieces on display are the result of painstaking craftsmanship, are available as one-offs or in small batches, and impress with their high-quality craftsmanship, ingenuity and sustainable production.
Students and graduates of the Schneeberg School of Applied Arts, a faculty of the West Saxon University of Applied Sciences in Zwickau, are presenting new bachelor’s degree projects and coursework in the special exhibition ‘Wood. Graphics. Textiles.’ – featuring works in wood, textiles, printmaking and musical instruments.
The Werkkunstmarkt combines traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design and has therefore been one of the standout events for lovers of high-quality craftsmanship for many years. At the same time, it offers inspiration for your own home or ideas for special gifts. Furthermore, it creates an inspiring platform for creative design – visitors can wander around at their leisure, strike up conversations with the exhibitors and learn more about materials, techniques and creative processes.
