From 31 August to 20 September, Chemnitz is once again taking part in CITY CYCLING, the Climate Alliance's international cycling campaign. Under the title "Chemnitz is cycling!", the city of Chemnitz is calling on people to set up their own teams or join an existing team. Anyone who lives, works, goes to school or studies in Chemnitz or belongs to a Chemnitz club can take part. Registration is possible at www.stadtradeln.de/chemnitz.

The aim is to cover as many distances as possible by bike during the campaign period and collect kilometres for Chemnitz together. Every kilometre by bike counts, whether on the way to work, to school, to the shops or in your free time. The campaign sets an example for more cycling, climate protection and quality of life in Chemnitz.

One of the highlights of the campaign period is the CITY CYCLING star ride on Sunday, 13 September. Cyclists from Chemnitz and the region will ride on various routes to the Jutta Müller Ice Sports Centre to reach the finish line together with the European Peace Ride. The #chemnitzdrehtamradtour will follow on Thursday, 17 September. The joint final tour is around 20 kilometres long and invites you to discover Chemnitz from the saddle and collect more kilometres for CITY CYCLING.

Further information on the tours, meeting points and start times will be published in good time in advance. The kilometres cycled can be entered online or via the CITY CYCLING app.
