Public consultation sessions in September, October and November

In September, October and November, residents of Chemnitz will once again have the opportunity to speak with the Lord Mayor, the Mayor and the district mayors during public consultation sessions.
Anyone interested can register for the public consultation sessions from now on by calling 0371 488 1512 or by emailing buergerbuero(at)stadt-chemnitz.de . The deadline for registration is Monday 17 August at 12 noon.

Each individual consultation should not last longer than 15 minutes.
We ask for your understanding that only a limited number of appointments are available for the public consultation sessions. Consequently, it may not be possible to accommodate all registered residents. Alternatively, concerns may be submitted in writing to the Mayor’s Citizens’ Office at any time.
Who is the right person to speak to? – Guide:
Mayor Sven Schulze for cross-departmental ideas on the city’s development. As the ‘head’ of Chemnitz City Council’s team, he is open to hearing about problems, suggestions for improvement and requests from the people of Chemnitz. This naturally also applies to the children and young people of Chemnitz who wish to put forward their ideas and wishes for child- and youth-friendly urban development to the Lord Mayor.
Date: Wednesday 28 October, from 4 pm to 6 pm
Mayor Knut Kunze is available for questions and concerns regarding law, safety and environmental protection. He oversees the Legal Department, the Public Order Office, the Citizens’ Service Centre, the Environment Office, the Fire Service, the Food Safety and Veterinary Office, and the Zoo, and can assist with these matters.
Date: Thursday, 24 September, from 3 pm to 5 pm
Mayor Dagmar Ruscheinsky is open to ideas, suggestions or issues relating to social affairs, youth, health, culture and sport. Under her leadership, the Cultural Services, the Chemnitz Art Collections, the Social Services Department, the Youth Welfare Office, the Sports Department and the Department of Health and Prevention operate.
Date: Monday, 2 November, from 4 pm to 6 pm
Mayor Thomas Kütter is the point of contact for matters relating to urban development and construction. He is responsible for building management and building construction, the Town Planning and Property Office, the Building Regulations and Surveying Office, the Transport and Civil Engineering Office, and the Parks and Green Spaces Office. He can provide information on these topics and welcomes constructive suggestions.
