Chemnitz Skilled Labour Alliance: Projects for the year 2026 can be submitted
The Chemnitz Skilled Labour Alliance is once again calling for project proposals to secure skilled workers for the second half of 2026. With the current call for projects, stakeholders in the Chemnitz region have the opportunity to implement innovative projects to secure skilled labour. Project applications can be submitted up to and including 15 May to the Coordination Office of the Chemnitz Skilled Labour Alliance by email to michelle.montag(at)stadt-chemnitz.de.
A project start is possible from 1 July 2026 at the earliest. The Chemnitz Skilled Labour Alliance has a budget of 85,000 euros at its disposal for the implementation of corresponding projects. Personnel and material costs within the respective project can be funded with a grant of up to 90 per cent.
After reviewing the submitted project proposals, suitable applicants will be invited to present their project to the Skilled Labour Alliance. Applicants will be informed of the date in good time.
For the members of the Chemnitz Skilled Labour Alliance, the main focus of the assessment is that the proposed project:
- corresponds to one of the ten funding objects of the Skilled Labour Directive of the Free State of Saxony,
- is oriented towards the action plan of the Chemnitz Skilled Labour Alliance,
- shows a recognisable, sustainable impact on the skilled labour situation in the city of Chemnitz and
- achieves results that are subsequently available to all regional stakeholders.
The basis is the guideline of the Saxon State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Transport for the promotion of projects to secure skilled workers in the Free State of Saxony (skilled worker guideline). In recent years, numerous projects have already been successfully implemented on this basis - from skilled labour events and networking formats to studies on the future demand for skilled labour in the region.
