Funded small cultural projects in Chemnitz: Photo exhibition by Steven Skuppin
VOYEUR - Perspectives by Steven Skuppin
"Creating perspectives in intimate moments. Projections behind mirrors. Eyes closed, hidden behind a mask. Loose ropes connect, capture and release."
This is a brief insight into the themes that musician and photographer Steven Skuppin is exploring for the project.
SKUPPIN's musical styles are described as love anthems with themes of wanderlust and poetry, heartache and feelings. In addition to the big emotions, he also feels a connection to analogue media. This also applies to his passion for photography. The exhibition VOYEUR - Perspectives consists mainly of 35 mm photographs. The photographs will be exhibited and displayed in different sizes.
The realisation (manufacture and production of the photos, measures to prepare the exhibition) was funded by the City of Chemnitz as part of its small project funding.
The vernissage will take place on 4 March 2023 in the Kulturhaus Arthur in the Nichts Galerie. Visitors will then be able to view SKUPPIN's photographs for approximately one month.
The Leipzig musician Yung Butschi will provide musical accompaniment at the vernissage.
