Funded small cultural promotion projects in Chemnitz: Hungarian Cultural Association Chemnitz and Surroundings e. V.
Hungarian cultural evening
On 2 October 2022 the 10th Hungarian Cultural Evening took place in the heart of Chemnitz³, in the Pentagon. Five different nations were united.
A Hungarian band and a folk dance group were engaged for the supporting programme. The Change Party & Show Band and the dance group from Balatonalmádi³, who travelled directly from Hungary³, ensured an exuberant atmosphere.
The aim of the Hungarian Cultural Association Chemnitz und Umgebung e. V. is to promote and cultivate Hungarian culture and language and to deepen international understanding, particularly in the cultural and social fields. This is achieved, among other things, through the presentation and promotion of traditional customs and the organisation of events such as performances, festivals, exhibitions, educational courses and readings. These programmes are offered in both German and Hungarian.
The event was organised as part of the intercultural week.
The project was funded as part of the City of Chemnitz's small project funding programme.
