The ARTCHEMTZ art market

The ARTCHEMTZ art market, organised by the Chemnitzer Künstlerbund e. V. and sponsored by the City of Chemnitz's culture department, took place for the first time on 11 June 2022 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Over the course of the day, there were around 170 visitors who were inspired by the atmosphere and the art. People got talking to each other, listened to live music by Ramona Markstein and discovered great individual pieces of art. From ceramics, fashion and jewellery to graphics and paintings, there was something for every taste and style.

A special highlight was the auction at 7 pm with Jan Mixsa. Under the title "umgebucht" (rebooked), objects designed by 10 artists were up for auction, with plenty of humour and musical interludes.

All in all, it was a successful day for visitors and artists alike.

The Chemnitzer Künstlerbund e. V. is looking forward to a repeat next year.
