Funded small cultural promotion projects in Chemnitz: Tor e. V. Kunstverein

Pop-up exhibition and concert

Originally founded in Marienberg, the association sees itself as a link to the Ore Mountains and is now continuing its concept on a larger scale as TOR e. V. & friends after moving to Chemnitz.


In collaboration with the artist network Rebel Art and the Czech association Kuprospěchu, a wide variety of artistic exhibits were presented on one floor of the former special machinery factory VEB SPEMAFA (Lerchenstraße 23).
During the 4 days - from 26-29 May 2022 - almost 200 visitors were able to experience the wide range of works by a wide variety of artists in a special ambience of past industrial architecture in the pop-up exhibition worth seeing.

The Till Seidel Band from Hildesheim performed rhythm 'n' blues & soul live on 28 May 2022.

The event was supported by the City of Chemnitz's small project funding programme.
