Contemporary dance is to be given a permanent place in the cultural life of the city of fashion in Chemnitz.
The first step was taken with the founding of the international festival TANZ I MODERNE I TANZ in 2015.
On 19 June 2019, the association TANZ I MODERNE I TANZ e.V. - Förderverein für zeitgenössischen Tanz in Chemnitz und Region was founded.
The association pursues exclusively non-profit purposes. It promotes art and culture, education and tolerance in all areas and, of course, contemporary dance in Chemnitz and the region.
