Founded in 1952, the sports club is based in Kleinolbersdorf-Altenhain on the south-eastern outskirts of Chemnitz. Around 220 members regularly pursue their hobby at the club. Sports are offered in the football, floorball, table tennis, gymnastics and children's sports departments.
Training venues are the gymnasium in Kleinolbersdorf and the sports field in Altenhain.
This is also where the old sports ground is located, which became famous as the most sloping football pitch in Germany with a diagonal height difference of 6.92 metres.
