Short description:
Since its foundation in 2011, the association Lern- und Gedenkort Kaßberg-Gefängnis e.V. has been committed to establishing a place of learning and remembrance on the site of the former Kaßberg MfS remand centre in Chemnitz, the central transit station for all prisoners released from GDR prisons. Since then, the members of the association have been involved in voluntary work, organising events both inside and outside the former Kaßberg prison.
