Since 1992, the members of the association have supported all five sections of Chemnitz Theatre, thereby strengthening one of the best theatres in Germany. The association helps with production, finances the drama studio, Rudolf Kempe Academy and Ballet Junior Company, supports the purchase of instruments and the theatre's and the Robert Schumann Philharmonic's work in the city's schools.
