The association was founded on 11 November 2010. Membership is organised regionally in 12 local groups. It is a non-partisan, non-denominational, non-profit organisation that aims to promote the democratic community in the region of West Saxony through the special promotion of equal rights for women and men in all areas of public life, the family, in the social sphere and in working life.
The organisation is a point of contact for men and women, families, senior citizens, single parents and people with disabilities in all situations. Its primary goal is to help people to help themselves.
