Short description:
The gardens were created in 1983 on a western slope of the Schönau district in K.-M. Stadt. A stream borders the western side of the site, the other cardinal points are bordered by neighbouring garden and residential plots. 72 spacious plots have been laid out and invite you to relax, design and cultivate your garden as well as engage in handicraft activities. The gardens are equipped with wooden or solid arbours as well as electricity and water connections.
The main garden paths are accessible by car during the season if required. The association also has a car park, which is located about 5-15 minutes north of the gardens.
You can reach the gardens without a car by taking bus number 23 (Pasteurstraße stop on Neefestraße) or tram number 1 (Zwickauer Straße, Schönau terminus) and walking. The Neefepark, which is easy to reach on foot or by bike, can also be used to supplement supplies at short notice. From the beginning of November to the end of March, the gardens are only accessible to garden members, as the access gates are locked.
