Meadow project in late summer
As in previous years, the meadow project in Ebersdorf on the former "Reichsbahnbad meadow" will once again take place in late summer for nature conservation helpers and all other interested parties. The date on site is Saturday, 8 September. After the area (a natural monument) has been mowed in advance by nature conservation workers , the mowed material will be removed from the meadow on this day between 9 a.m. and 12 noon using rakes, carts and tarpaulins in order to remove the nutrients and keep this habitat, which is valuable for many rare plant species, lean.
Tools and equipment for the work will be provided on site; the Lower Nature Conservation Authority at the City of Chemnitz Environmental Agency is looking forward to welcoming many participants to the meadow project.
