Civil engineering work in Landgraben Mittelbach completed on time
Following the premature completion of Pflockenstrasse in the Chemnitz district of Mittelbach in July (PM 444 dated 26/07/2012), a section of Landgraben, also in Mittelbach, was also completed on schedule on 31 August 2012 as part of the further implementation of the wastewater disposal concept of the City of Chemnitz waste management company and opened to traffic at the same time.
Over a length of 65 metres, combined and rainwater drains were laid and the wearing course of the carriageway was renewed. Due to the location of the sewers, a full road closure was necessary for this construction work.
The total cost of the construction project, which was realised by civil engineering company EBG Bau Ehrenfriedersdorf, amounted to approx. 190,000 euros, with the share for the Landgraben amounting to approx. 55,000 euros.
