Klaffenbach Castle was constructed in the 16th century after being commissioned by the wealthy Annaberg citizen Wolff Hühnerkopf.



The entire complex unfolds parallel to the rivulet Würschnitz and consists of castle buildings, a hotel, restaurants and an arts and crafts studio in the middle of a landscaped park of green meadows and popular walking trails.

In the castle building there are alternating exhibitions on arts and crafts, design and art and cultural programmes as well as open-air events and seasonal markets in the castle courtyard. The delightful ambiance of the castle offers a special environment for conferences, seminars and private celebrations. In the small chapel bridal couples can say "I do".
