The Chemnitz Satirical Theater is housed in the cellar of the old covered public market. It offers a lot of fun with local performers, numerous guests star appearances and special concert performances. From the onset of the evening, visitors are "set up" for what´s to come during the show. A series of artistic installations and a "zoo" are transversed before reaching the entrance.
Niches in the cellar walls contain remarkably altered everyday objects. These common items are worked into the performance and given allegorical qualities by the First chemnitz Satirical Theater.
